Furnace Amenity Association

Furnace Amenity Association owns and manages Furnace Village Hall as well as caring for the 5 mile Leacainn Walk, which starts and ends in the village.

The Association runs regular events in the hall including the Vintage Weekend in May, The Furnace Gala in August and the ‘Older Furnace Folk’ Christmas meal in December. Registered Charity No. SCO02883

Monthly meetings are held on the last Thursday of the month from 7.30. All welcome.

The Amenity Association is in the process of converting to a SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation) and will soon become known as Furnace Community SCIO. The SCIO will operate in exactly the same way as the Association, but the new structure will give more protection to the members, similar to that of a limited company, but still a registered charity.
